Our story
SisInBiz is an independent business network run by and for FINTA people (women, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people) in the Swiss music industry.
What began in 2017 with an after-work beer and a casual WhatsApp group has grown into a steadily expanding community. In 2021, SisInBiz took the next step by professionalising its structure with a dedicated landing page and its own app (Spaces by Wix). Since then, members have been sharing knowledge, experiences and support more effectively — as well as job opportunities and events. SisInBiz has been organised as an association since 2026.
A key impulse for the network’s development came in 2025 through an excellent bachelor’s thesis by ZHAW student Corina Erzinger, which explored SisInBiz’s positioning and potential and provided valuable input for its strategic direction.
SisInBiz is committed to increasing visibility, strengthening connections and advancing equality — with the goal of shaping a more sustainable and inclusive Swiss music business.
The initiators
Driven by passion and commitment, the two initiators dedicate their time to SisInBiz alongside their regular work. Having spent many years in the industry, they have experienced first-hand how limited the visibility of FINTA people in the Swiss music scene still is. With SisInBiz, they create a space for networking, exchange and mutual support, helping to foster greater diversity and more equal opportunities across the Swiss music industry.
Rafi Spitzli started her career in 2009 as a Promotion Manager at a Swiss indie label. In 2013, she joined Universal Music Switzerland, where she now works as Senior Promotion & Export Manager. In this role, she is responsible for the PR activities of both national and international artists, as well as the label’s export operations. She has also been a jury member of the newcomer competition bandXost since 2023.
Patrizia Trento began her career in the Swiss music industry in 2009 as a booker at the independent label Nation Music in Zurich. Since then, she has taken on various roles across the Swiss music scene, including as a Cultural and Event organizer. From 2021 to 2025, she worked in Member Services at SWISSPERFORM, specialising in neighbouring rights and supporting artists and producers with rights-related matters.
